Soda Fountain FAQs

Do I need to buy a spare product tank?

Spare tanks are strictly for convenience. Some people like to keep a spare tank filled with water in a refrigerator so they won't run out of cold water. Also comes in handy for large parties. This is the same reason why someone would want a spare CO2 tank.

What do I do if all the sugar settles to the bottom of the syrup bottle?

When the temperature is cool, there is a chance the syrup ingredients will separate (i.e. the sugar will fall to the bottom). This occasionally occurs when we ship the syrup to our patrons during the fall/winter months. If this happens, simply warm up the bottle in a pan of lukewarm water, then carefully shake the bottle to mix the ingredients.

How do you set up the refrigeration unit for the component system?

The most important thing to remember about soda fountains is that the colder the water is in the product tank, the better the carbonation. The component/do-it-yourself system comes with all necessary parts EXCEPT the refrigeration unit (the freestanding soda fountain has the refrigeration unit built underneath). It does, however, come with parts that allow you to hook up the soda fountain to a refrigerator.
